This is a recent development, which we are
intending to offer shortly. The finish is a conductive organic coating
with a thin electroless Tin topcoat. The organic section acts as a
barrier to stop the intermetallics forming between the copper and tin.
It is flat, has long term solderability and also looks like a good
option to comply with the European directive banning the use of lead in
our industry.
Organic metal is claimed to have a shelf life approaching that of the
traditional HASL PCB
