Circuit Board Finish's |
| |
| The Plain copper on a
printed circuit board oxidises rapidly and has to be coated or plated with something to allow
and maintain good solder ability. In the early years protective lacquers
were used, roller Tinning quickly followed on along with Hot Air Solder
Leveling, and the range of Electroless chemical finishes.
Our preferred ROHS
compliant leadfree finish is OSP, and
our std non compliant finish is H.A.S.L. although
its well worth considering swapping non compliant PCB's over
to OSP as it it a much more
environmentally friendly process which helps reduce our carbon
footprint.
